For Loop in C programming

August 25, 2013 Posted by: GPA Views: 604 0 comments

The for loop is the type of looping construct. It also works as while loop construct but it provide the initialization, condition and the increment is same written in the for construct. The statements are written in the for body. Any loop recorded by the operator for, can be written as a while loop, and vice versa.

The Syntax for the For Loop:

for( initialization; termination; increment)
{
    statements;

In this example you will see how to use the For loop statement. The program will show the numbers, until increment variable i not equal 9.

Example:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
//main function
int main(int argc, char *argv[]){
   int i;
   for( i=0;i<10;i++){
     printf("%d ",i);
   }
   system("PAUSE");//delay
  return 0;
}
