Lisp

Lisp is a family of computer programming languages, programs code in which, as well as the data, are represented as systems of linear lists of characters. Lisp is the second in the history of high-level programming language after Fortran and is still used. Lisp has several dialects. Today the most known dialects are «Common Lisp» and «Scheme».
The main advantage of Lisp is its functional orientation. It means that the programming is carried out by means of functions.
